The program, Turner School of Construction Management, is free to qualified businesses, but space is limited. To be eligible, businesses must be a construction-oriented firm in business for at least three years and must be certified as a small or minority-owned business. The program begins March 8 with classes on Fridays in the Bryant Bank Community Room.
Turner School of Construction Management is an education and community outreach program in the commercial construction industry. The program presents an opportunity for firms to improve their economic viability by enhancing their managerial, technical, and administrative skills while networking with similar businesses. Companies also learn how to make themselves more visible to large general contractors.
Turner aims to secure at least 20 percent of subcontract work through Small, Minority-, and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (SMWBE) but exceeds 30 percent on many projects.
Turner is a North America-based, international construction services company. Since 1986, Turner’s Huntsville office has served clients in a variety of market segments, including aerospace, industrial, government, education, and commercial.
